Armenia is an old and fascinating country but yet still largely unknown to most. Efforts are currently being made at many levels and by many actors to boost the international relevance of Armenian education, research and innovation and related institutions and organizations.

The Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST) is one of the most prominent organizations committed in building an ecosystem of innovation to lead scientists, technologists, and innovators in Armenia and beyond to success on the global stage. With a focus on entrepreneurial endeavors, FAST empowers innovators to bring cutting-edge, commercially viable, and globally competitive solutions to life. The Foundation partners with academic, governmental, and non-governmental organizations alongside global players to explore and create what’s next.

The ambitious vision of FAST is to transform Armenia into a science-driven innovative country by 2041. FAST aims to becoming a platform for bringing about the technological breakthrough in Armenia in the areas of IT and computer science, artificial intelligence, high-tech materials, robotics, biotechnology, advanced engineering, and manufacturing technologies.

Suzanna Shamakhyan is VP/Director on Partnerships and Programs at the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST), former Head of Department of International Cooperation at the Russian-Armenian University in Yerevan, and Founding President at the European Youth Parliament Armenia.
